Dr. Sherman graduated from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1984, completed his residency in Family Practice at Union Hospital in Union, NJ in 1987 and completed an additional residency in Anesthesiology at The Cleveland Clinic / Meridia South Point Hospital in Warrensville Heights, OH in 1994.  After 5 years as an anesthesiologist, Dr. Sherman decided to change his focus to Family / Geriatric Medicine.  Since 1999, he has served as the Medical Director at both NHC Healthcare – Greenville and NHC Healthcare – Mauldin.  He also serves as the Medical Director of Caris Hospice in Greenville, SC since 2014.
